My return to Google News is less about will and more about the lack of better — or even comparable — alternatives. Call me a creature of habit, but Google News continues to fit well into my workflow. The app sticks to its basics without the quirks others experiment with — and that actually works in its favor.
However, you can find some other topics that are also supported by Google News. On the bottom left side of the Google News page you may find a Language & region section where you can find all of the supported combinations. Google News used to have an API but it was deprecated many years ago. I heavily rely on Feedparser package to parse the RSS feed. Every time you call any function there is an HTTPS request to Google’s servers. This work is more of a collection of all things I could find out about how Google News functions.
“We believe we’ve been able to identify the shooter,” RCMP Superintendent Ken Floyd said at an evening news conference. The shooter was also found dead, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the agency said. Such statements are based on current expectations, estimates, projections and assumptions, describe opinions about future events, involve certain risks and uncertainties which are difficult to predict and are not guarantees of future performance. This powerful platform significantly improves success rates while reducing development time and costs. When integrated into ChemPass AI™, these agents are designed to automate and scale key discovery processes, enable large-scale parallel molecular exploration, shorten design–make–test–analyze cycles, and improve the accuracy and success rate of designing small-molecule based products.
This policy was again changed on September 29, 2015 where this limit was changed to three articles per day. The reader’s first click to the content is free, and the number after that would be set by the content provider. Its front page provides roughly the first 200 characters of the article and a link to its larger content. Google released a beta version in September 2002 and the official app in January 2006. You can find your searches and other activity saved to your Google Account in My Activity.
There have been growing reports of Google Pixel users experiencing Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth issues after a January 2026 update. “Vibe coding,” as it’s come to be known, is exactly what you can do with Nothing’s new “Essential Apps,” which lets you create homescreen widgets, “apps,” using text prompts and the help of AI – but I’m not fully sold just yet. One of the places AI has really made an impact is on app coding, opening new doors both for professionals and the casual user.
Top_news() returns the top stories for the selected country and language that are defined in GoogleNews class. This package uses the RSS feed of the Google News. It is different from the usual Google search that we use on a daily basis (sorry DuckDuckGo, maybe next time). Most likely, you know already that Google has its own news service. Before we start, if you want to integrate Google News data to your production then I would advise you to use one of the 3 methods described below.
It now says AI headlines are a ‘feature,’ not an experiment. This puts noapi-google-search-mcp on your PATH so you can use it directly. The updates from the interests you follow show up in the “Following” tab’s content feed. You can customize Google News to get stories about specific topics, like sports teams, technology, or space exploration. This feature is active across both desktop and mobile browsers, as well as the Google app. Make us a preferred source to get incisive news and analysis on healthcare and life science companies when you need it.
Google News index’s next pass found the link as new news, and Income Security Advisors found the Google result to be new news, which was passed along to Bloomberg News, where it was briefly a current headline and very widely viewed. In August 2011, the “News Archive Advanced https://www.ifad.org/en/w/recipes-for-change/as-temperatures-rise-so-too-does-our-need-for-diverse-crops Search” functionality was removed entirely, again generating complaints from regular users who found that the changes rendered the service unusable. This redesign engendered significant complaints from regular users of the service. The service has been integrated with Google Search History since November 2005. Users used to be able to customize the displayed sections, their location on the page, and how many stories are visible with a JavaScript-based drag and drop interface.
In March 2005, Agence France-Presse (AFP) sued Google for $17.5 million, alleging that Google News infringed on its copyright because “Google includes AFP’s photos, stories and news headlines on Google News without permission from Agence France Presse”. Historically users could choose to hide articles originating from a news source. The service covers news articles appearing within the past 44 days on various news websites. In 2020, Google announced they would be spending US$1 billion to work with publishers to create Showcases, “a new format for insightful feature stories”.
